Mr.Edwards is an adult nurse practitioner working full time as a hospitalist in internal medicine. Lane started his career as an orderly, became licensed as an LPN, completed professional nurses training and worked critical care for 10 years. He continued his education to enable licensure as an ARNP, working initially in cardiology and cardiac surgery. Lane returned to internal medicine for 12 years before working as a hospitalist.

Lane has participated in educational offerings at the local, district, regional and national levels. Combining computer enhancement and educational training he presents frequently on many cardiovascular and internal medicine topics. Lane has participated on many expert panels publishing guidelines for practice on many subjects. He has published in Metabolic Syndrome, Osteoporosis, Restless Legs Syndrome, Hypertension and Lipids.

Lane is Affiliate Professor of Nursing in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Alaska at Anchorage working with students in Cardiovascular and Endocrine topics.
