Coronary Artery Disease 2008: Can we identify and treat the risk factors earlier and more aggressively?

After participating in the discussion on Coronary Artery Disease 2008: Can We Identify and Treat the Risk Factors Earlier, I am better able to:

1. Identify the primary risk factors impacting CAD

2. I am more comfortable in identifying abnormal glucose metabolism early

3. I have more confidence when prescribing combination therapy for lipid disorders

4. I feel the use of waist measurement is essential for accurate identification of obesity

5. I recognize that pre-hypertension in the multi-risk patient is essential to treat aggressively

6. I am more comfortable with the inter-relationship between hypertension, obesity, insulin resistance and dyslipidemias as they impact the risk for early CAD
